Pop Africana Editor Takes Vogue Italia To Task

Oroma Elewa, the It style star behind Pop Africana, has gone after Vogue Italia for failing to credit her for a photo that originally appeared in PA mag. The editor took her mission to Twitter and also posted a missive about switching up the direction of her blog. In her words:

Lazy editors? Or is the pace of fashion? Or this idea that perhaps something so beautiful could not come from an African publication much less created by Africans? Do we dare be so creative and well put together that it competes directly with or can stand boldly next to the tanks, dazed and confused, vogue italias’ and purples of this world?
